The race

The God’s race
Draped white, clasped with gold
It’s the leaning leather they hold
It’s warped with this earth place

Regal honour and air
Come with the Gods of time
For they have no need but give and define
Self contained and exist for their heir

Columns of cloud and marble thrones
Is what they leave behind
To give to humans and help us find
All we need, all we need to hone

Showing the strength the Gods behold
But not reigning tight
Even though it is their right
Forgiving is their race, as of old

Constant as the stars, the Gods placed
The breed of the Gods remains
For as long as the earth and heaven remains
All trusting when the Gods have us, graced
