Let me hold my life
while I’m lying down

Let me dream nonsense
at the best of times

Let me tire myself out
at the end of the day

Let me speak my words
while doped with poison

Let me throw my fists
as they hit my head

Let me use my eyes
for the hell others have made

Let me give you madness
when I, in reality, have hope

Let me dance with my strings
while I have no time nor skill
